He was probably like “what? I can get another chance?” Then guaranteed money became involved and he really probably perked up “All I have to do is act like I want to play and half ass try? And they’re just going to guarantee that they will give me money? Are they stupid? They’re just going to give me some money no matter what I do?” Then when the amount of guaranteed money came about I think he for sure thought “I’m gonna take these dumb mfers to the cleaners. And then fade away into obscurity with all my money.”
