Two minute report clearly shows that Zion should have been called for an offensive foul, giving the Kings the chance to tie it up. Yes, I know that there were a million other ways we should have won that game, but I’m sensitive to bad reffing for historical reasons. Also, “marginal contact” apparently means two stitches, smh.
This is what I thought too. Legs were too wide on the pick (foul) but the contact on Sabonis wasn’t a foul even though he got clocked in the face.
I guess two stitches in Sabonis’s lip is deemed marginal by the wimpy fat dude preparing the two minute report.
“Contact to an opponent’s head/face can be deemed marginal when the result of a natural basketball move, provided the contact is not disproportionate or uncontrolled.”
Sounds accurate to me. I guess random guy on Reddit doesn’t know the rules more than the wimpy fat guy preparing the two minute report.
Again blessing the use of your off hand to slam into someone’s face going up for a contest is not the purpose of the rule.
But it’s not normal movement, when I go up on a Eurostep, there are certain natural movements and there are obvious “gtfo of my way movements.” The latter are patently unacceptable.
I got downvoted to absolute shit for bringing up exactly this in the nba sub. The screen was a foul and BI didn’t foul Sabonis. Like it’s not controversial at all, if u screen somebody with your legs/hips it’s a fucking foul…… and now I’m over it lol.
