It’s good to hear it from the king himself after all the vitriol people get for pointing out the very obvious.

Happy Holidays Nick!

Since the Jacksonville game, this has (mostly) been the case. Now it’s important to also note that this does not mean that Pete is a good play caller by any stretch of the imagination.

You know, we all love Nick here and so do I - but it’s completely fine to disagree. No need for dogma because Nick claims this is the pinnacle issue in his eyes. Dennis, pete, and Carr need to go.

I’m not sure what there is left to disagree about really.

Sure they all need to go. But here’s what actually is going to happen.

Carmichael will be gone. Allen and Carr will be back next year. We could get rid of Allen but we won’t. We couldn’t get rid of Carr if we wanted to lol.

Carr isn’t a good QB, nor is he even average. He’s just straight ass lol. I’m honestly surprised someone like him has lasted this long in the league as a one-read QB.

Finding people open on film doesn’t mean the QB is making bad decisions. We don’t know what the progressions are so it’s kind of a dumb point.

The difference is we can easily get rid of Pete and we will.

The problem is much of the fanbase thinks it’s an OC that’s holding us back, when in reality the whole roster is subpar. Most glaringly of which is our QB.

Carr is a middle of the pack QB. He’s good enough to get us deep into playoffs. Is he going to be Brees? No. Is he going to get us to a conference championship? Very possibly.

None of that is going to happen if the play calling stays the same. A good play caller would work off of Carrs strengths and not his weaknesses.

He’s good enough to get us deep into playoffs.

Couldn’t be further from the truth.

That’s actually the crux of the fallacy of signing Carr IMO.

There is zero evidence he could do that. Because he never has. He’s 0-1 in the playoffs all time. And he wasn’t playing like some Stafford 5K passer being held back by a bad team. He was just leading a bad team.

Carr has proven to be one of the least accurate passers since he entered the league.

From 2014-2022 (no Carmichael), Carr was 46th in Completion Percentage Over Expected. For comparison, in the same time period, Brees was 3rd, Jameis was 24th, Taysom was 47th and Dalton was 49th.

Derek Carr has made it painfully clear he doesn’t have the accuracy or mental game to be a successful NFL QB.

Carr Averaged over 4,000 yards each season, and averaged 22 points a game in his career with the raiders. The defense was the issue there.

Our division is ass. We’re 5-5 and top of the division. We can absolutely go to playoffs with Carr. You’re delusional if you think otherwise. I’m not saying he’s great, I’m saying he’s capable.

That’s so painfully average it’s not funny. That’s not success. That’s often below the league average.

Certainly we can win the division and lose a playoff game at home. You already are moving the goalposts.

I put our chances of making a CCG with Carr even with the best OC not named Carmichael at <2%.

There are many reasons of Carr’s own doing why he has never won a playoff game and likely never will.

People are saying Gruden is the best we could do for a playcaller.

Carr was with him for three years!!!

lol. You got me there. Carr might be better than every QB pre 1990 because he threw for 4K yards.

As for the goal post movement… I said he can get us to playoffs. That’s not moving the goal post. That was the original statement. Jesus. Arguing with Reddit nfl casuals is weird sport I don’t know that I enjoy anymore.

Be trying to tell em but they don’t wana hear it. Carr is garbage. It’s time for winston so we can save the season. Carr is a fucking blind qb who holds the ball to long. Our defense is playing worse cause they have no hope in him. Our recievers are great and o line is doing fine.
