Lonzo injury and Vuc’s regression really killed us from having a legit championship contender window.

Lonzo’s ability to defend the perimeter and be a playmaker really would’ve elevated everyone. With Zach’s flashes of Elite guard ability and Demar consistency, there was a window.

This building of this team gave me a level of hope I didn’t have in a while.

    No, we just have an owner who wouldn’t spend to complete the team. Over and over again.

    He didn’t get Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich a scoring big. He didn’t get Derrick Rose a functional SG who could dribble and shoot. He shipped Jimmy Butler out of town because Fred Hoiberg was cheaper. He didn’t give the current group any three point shooting to speak of, when anyone with eyes can tell they desperately need elite shooting at PF, PG, and on the bench.

    He lets teams get partially built until it could cost him luxury tax money, then clamps on the breaks on spending and just lets whatever happens happen.

    I have a theory that dominating the 90s and getting the GOAT on the Bulls has cursed the franchise. Almost like doing a deal with the devil. That you’ll be the greatest franchise ever for a decade, and then never win again after that lol

    No. It’s not just about Lonzo and Vuc. The most disappointing part of the team is the failure of their draft picks. The front office overpaid for Vuc and drafted badly every year. This is not just bad luck but bad management.

    voochs regression wasnt a curse it was a terrible trade to begin with he wasnt an elite player when we traded for him had a glaring hole in his game with his defense. it was a bad decision to start with.
