I will soon be becoming a father and an looking to celebrate by buying a watch that I can pass on to my son as a family heirloom down the line. Below are some of my key requirements:
- Ideally a field watch
- Under $1000
- Durable and relatively easily serviceable
Currently, I am leaving towards Baltic Hermetique, although I am not sure how well it fares on point 3. Any recommendations are appreciated!
Maybe something with a ETA Unitas 6498-1 movement? I couldn’t think of something that it is durable and easier to service.
Below an example of a deckwatch, but you can also get fliegers and other designs.
