What do you think changed? I assume we’re getting into the bonus more frequently with a more physical roster.

No CP3. And that’s no knock on him. He will set anyone up with the perfect shot, but sometimes you just need to rush into the paint. Looking at the old roster:
CP3 - Avoided penetration at all times
Booker - Jumper city thanks to good off ball movement
Mikal and Cam - Perimeter shooters
Ayton- Ayton
Probably why we all fell in love with Okogie so quickly, because he was basically the only one outside of Booker who could actually draw fouls at a good clip. And defense of course. Mikal and Cam could do it, but it’s not really the same thing.
Now, virtually every very single player on the team can and will drive at a moment’s notice. Allen has max acceleration. EG is very crafty. Nas lives off of the drive. Okogie and Goodwin are dawgs.
Point Book is real, but he can’t set people up like CP3. Difficulty of shot goes up, gotta drive on in and draw a foul. Plus the gravity of KD and Booker (and Beal) opens up the lanes very nicely. Nurk is actually finishing at a good clip ever since Booker got back with less pressure. Last 5 games, he’s at 54.86% FG average. Career is at 51% and this season 45.2. Big improvement.
Though if you are doing some comparative statistics, you may want to remove the Warriors game as a potential outlier to get your averages.
We only got 3 extra fts from techs, so Idk if it’s necessary to omit that game
