Hello,

I am thinking of installing Cheat Engine for single player emulator purpose (like unlocking all stages/items or playing as the final boss character). However, I am afraid if it is detected by VAC and will ban the account.

has anyone tried that? I know nothing about the cheat engine or if even affects online games or just the emulator. I hope there is one only for emulator and is not detected by VAC.

Edit Actually I might just go and ask steam support becuz why not. I hope they dont give me the wrong answer haha xD

but if someone tried and gave the same answer as steam support then it should be safe.

    cheat engine will only get you banned if it is hooked to dota, if you have it running hooked to another game (personally i have done this many times with it hooked to Grim Dawn to speed the game up, which i play while i queue/wait for drafting to end) nothing will happen. Even if it is hooked to dota, it probably wont get you vac banned unless you actually do something to it like altering memory or attempting to speedhack
