I reference the show Shorsey a lot about a d league hockey team. They have three guys (the Jims) whose job it is to just lay the wood on the other teams best player and then they go in the box or kicked out. I’m NOT saying go out and try and break the dudes leg or play dirty. But you know we’re gonna get called on b.s. roughing the passer penalties all day anyway. So let’s make it worth it and let him feel it early in the game. That’s how the Giants beat Tom Brady.

As much as I hate the quifes I’d never wish injury upon anyone. I want to beat them fair and square, but I wouldn’t mind knocking him out the game on the first drive. Set him down just for the day

In 2001, the Irish football team were playing the Dutch in a World Cup qualifier. Ireland needed to win but the Dutch were just far better. Ireland had one world class player Roy Keane, then captain of Manchester United. Keane was known for his aggression and in the first minute hacked down one of Holland’s best players. It set the tone, Ireland won 1-0.

Why am I telling this story? Because it gives an excuse to post this and I will happily watch this tackle any chance I get.

It’d never happen, but promote some practise squad player and tell him to level Mahomes with a late hit or two. Take the penalties, get ejected and rattle Mahomes. Then send in Maxx.

I noticed the 9ers defense was aggressive to the opposing offenses. It might be part of their plan to intimidate.

That bullshit should have led to the benches being emptied. I don’t care how much we suck, you don’t come into our house and do that shit.

Nope. We need to draft players with balls. For instance, Jalen Carter instead of Tyree Wilson.

this comment is not gonna age well. tyree Wilson may or may not turn out to be anything special but this hard on raider nation has for Carter is so misplaced. Carter is a big time beneficiary of a stacked rotation that needs to provide extra attention to Reddick and graham. he not the 2nd coming of Aaron donald.

“ Carter is a big time beneficiary of a stacked rotation” Perhaps, but that’s what we need to build here. This is an army not a convalescent home.

And yet he’d be far better than anyone on our interior line. I understand why we didn’t pick him, but if we’re not reaching for players, we’re picking/signing injured ones.

A great example of this brand of football is what Aqib Talib(yeah I know, fuck him) did in SB50 to the Panthers. He came out bully ball from the coin flip and took two 1st qtr penalties and set the tone. Carolina rolled over for 3 qtrs, they didn’t want ant of that Broncos D until midway through the 4th. Earl Thomas used to do this kind of shit too.

Guys like that don’t gain a lot of yards or score a lot of points, both of which we are going to need a lot of. Guys like that do get a lot of penalties though. But they’re always against our team, so that’s no good.

Well, I guess we don’t need those guys. Maybe next year.
