The Lakers have all but locked up the #1 seed and the Suns have all but locked up the wildcard.

The only team that could take the #1 seed is the Kings but they’d have to beat the Warriors by almost 50 points for that to happen.

The only teams that could overtake the Suns hold on the wildcard are the Wolves and Warriors. There are a few scenarios that technically could lead to this, but they all involve Wolves beating the Thunder by 38 and/or Warriors beating the Kings by 29.

So it is very likely we’ll have Suns @ Lakers to open the mid season tourney

    How do you know we’d play the wildcard tho? Phoenix will likely have an equal record and better point differential than the winners of the other two groups. So how do you know for sure Phoenix gets the 4th seed and not the 2nd ?
