Hey guys, need your wisdom and tinkering spirit.

I decided to not trade my deck for a ROG ally. However, I kinda do want to pimp my deck without shelling 300 to 500 CAD for a shiny new one. I was thinking of a few mods and I wonder which are worth it or dangerous.

1- FAN: First one would be to replace my loud ass Delta fan. It’s kinda noisy at night running BG3. I managed to make it bearable by lowering the TDP to 10W but its still kinda noisy. Is the Huaying fan much better? It is kinda expensive buying from Ifixit Canada. Is it my only option and is it that much quieter?

1.5- Changing thermal paste: Followup from point 1. I have so pretty good thermal paste leftover I used for me PC. Is it worth it to change the thermal paste. I have the feeling valve did a pretty good job and the Zen2 Core is just running hot by default.

2- 2280 NVME ssd adapter: I already put a 512gb in my 64gb SSD. However 2230 drives are still kinda expensive. I know there is a U shape adapter for the ROG ally that work really well. Do we get something similar for the deck?

3- Changing the backplate: My kid dropped my deck and the backplate is a little cracked on one of the corner. I glued it from the inside and the damage is invisible. However, I fear if I open my deck again, the damage could get worse. Is it worth it?

If they repair are too much, I might do nothing or just bite the bullet and buy a new 512gb OLED deck in the end. What are your recommandation?
