I see a lot of hate for people who are good at heroes like Genji, Doomfist, Ball, Tracer, Lucio. Every time I see one of those heroes get nerfed people cheer and call the people who play them salty. And its always the same thing about people who are good at them getting a ton of value and holding the game lobby by its balls.
But… Shouldn’t these hard to play heroes get a ton of value? Nobody can just pick up Genji or Ball and immediately destroy a lobby, they need to practice and master the heroes for a long time to get any value out of them. And that’s good. Hard to play heroes should get a ton of value when played correctly. It isn’t fair that a Doom player has to execute everything perfectly to get just a little bit of extra value over an average player playing Bastion or Mercy and holding down M1 or M2. That’s bad game design. Harder to play heroes should get more value than easier ones.
The only one I maybe see people ‘cheer’ when nerfed is Tracer with things like her old falloff nerf since I dont think shes quite the paragon of perfect balance Blizzard likes to say she is, but even then Ive never seen anyone demand these heroes be rendered useless
