Does anyone else find it funny how in just about every single game this year there has been some comment about being impressed with Brock’s mobility. I’m rewatching the Seahawks game this morning and sure enough Collinsworth comments on it during our 2nd drive.

Brock obviously doesn’t have the top end speed or agility of a Lamar Jackson or anything… but he is continually catching opposing players and announcers off guard with his ability to utilize a burst of acceleration to evade.

Just kind of funny how it can be a surprise EVERY week lol. The good ol fashioned “sneaky athletic” label.

    That burst of acceleration is the one thing he scored really high on at the combine. He can run the 1st 10 yards of a 40 yard dash really fast.

    That’s just him, it ain’t going away. He will be elite at extending plays and evading sacks.

    BCB, CMC, and LJ all have basically the exact same 10 yard split time on the 40 and elite shuttle run / 3 Cone drills.

    Evasive Mobility vs straight line speed is purdy’s thing. Love to see it.

    Having the last pick of the draft be this good of a passer in the NFL is crazy enough but to also be able to run is insane.

    I remember the commentary guy being like “Wait, did you see Purdy on that play? He is really really fast…that was legitimately quick…impressive”

    This was after that play where he literally run around the pass rusher and then targeted Jennings at the pylon (should have been a DPI btw)

    Its wild to me how Brock is basically what everyone thought Trey would be, outside having the super cannon arm (although he’s been showing more ability to push it downfield lately).
