Hello, for a while now I’ve been having an issue - I can’t update the drivers for my GPU card. It wasn’t necessary before, but recently, I returned to CS2 after a break of about 4-5 years, and the problems with the card started :D. My laptop is an HP Pavilion Gaming 17, with an 11th generation i5, 16GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. My operating system is Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit.
The issue seems to be:
Initially, I downloaded GeForce Experience. However, when I start the installation, the application loads up to around 70-80%, then it closes without displaying any error or notification. I’ve tried running it normally and as an administrator, but the problem remains the same. Nothing even shows up in the Task Manager.
Afterward, I decided to go to the Nvidia website and manually download the latest available driver for my graphics card. Once again, during the installation itself, I encountered the following error: ‘Nvidia installer failed’ and this happened multiple times (both running it normally and as an administrator).
I delved into the internet and YouTube and found a method where, upon starting the driver installation, I copied the created Nvidia folder (because the original one gets removed after the failed installation) and then attempted to update the driver manually through the Device Manager. Up to this point, it was going fine - it found the new driver after placing it in the correct directory. However, I encountered another error after initiating the update - this time, the error was about not having enough space.
I have 2 drives - Local Disk C (326GB free out of 476) and RAMDrive Z (642MB free out of 767). Everything related to Nvidia is located on Disk C. The only things related to NVIDIA on Disk Z are an empty folder named NvidiaLogging and a folder called NvTelemetry_WD with one JSON file inside. Is it possible that something from them is causing the issue?
I also want to attach some pictures, but I’m still new to Reddit (I created my account earlier today specifically for this issue), and the only option I find for uploading pictures tells me it’s blocked.
Please, help me with this issue. I will send the equivalent of 100 dollars in Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency (your preference) to the person who can assist me, as a sign of gratitude and respect. Thank you in advance!
