Does uBlock Origin make an extension for gaming platforms? Crazy that this was even coded in, as if it would ever be alright.
If you are on Android , you can go into your settings> network and internet > private DNS > private DNS provider hostname > change to DNS.adguard.com
It blocks ads on most mobile games and most websites . It won’t work on YouTube/reddit/Instagram so don’t bother checking if it works there.
Also some wifi networks don’t let you use the internet with this setting for some reason
uBilock Origin.
The gaming community needs to ban together on this. Absolutely downvote the fuck out of any game that releases with ads, and no pre-orders! Hopefully the popular youtubers will help put too, when the time comes.
Guys… it’s called marketing look it up. Look at all the publicity they got from making this video :D this video is someone from Ubisoft marketing team. It’s extremely clever marketing , nothing else :)
They either did this on purpose to see how people would react, or it’s one of the pop ups that you get on the main menu and it actually glitched out and appeared in game by accident
this is so shitty
It was a test run to gage our reaction.
Ubisoft doesnt offer many games to make a long term subscription worthwhile…but lot may people including myself probably subscribe for just a month to play a new game. Its much cheaper than buying it outright especially since I probably wont replay Assassin’s Creed or Far Cry games.
If you can please return the game. You can buy it again, but it will send a message that you are not a cat*
Nah this was a test to see how people reacted. I’m glad for once even the shills didnt do what they do best and make excuses for devs. “Oh come on guys they’re working hard to bring you this game. They need to feed their families”
Nintendo is the only game company I still have faith in
Woops, That was just a feature we are working on that isnt released yet. PR isnt ready for the backlash so lets call it a bug. Ya. Only TV’s are doing pop up ads, video games wont do that. Double pink swear guys. - Ubisoft
Reminder that this is the Ubi that wanted to shove NFTs down our throats. 100% this was intentional and was gauging backlash.
