I’ve been getting back into PC gaming this year and built a nice desktop (I7-13 2.5ghz with RTX 4070, 6 tb of SSD storage and 64gb of ram for the sheer hell of it), but I missed sitting on my couch with my girlfriend and passing the controller back and forth. Gaming in bed was still on the Switch, so my consoles were still getting a fair amount of use.

I bought the OLED 1tb model because it looked neat, not really expecting it to take a regular place in the rotation. It showed up Tuesday and since then I’ve been on it nonstop. Perfect for Payday 2 on lunch break or a quick round of Vampire saviors while at the dentist.

Friday my girlfriend surprised me with a dock and controller for the Deck and we spent the evening playing through The Quarry and passing the controller back and forth on VS. we checked out RE4 Remake and Dead Space, and they play just fine. All the PC hits work without trouble.

This morning I sold my Switch and PS5. I have an SD card with a few Switch exclusives that were going to play tonight and all games on PS5 I care about are on Steam except Bloodborne.

What an amazing device. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm.
