Hey, everybody! New fan + first-year season ticket holder here. Loving the experience so far this season — got great tickets at a solid price and can’t complain too much (although my account manager has been pretty bad if I’m being fully honest). Looking to get season tickets to the new arena next year and want some advice.

So I’ve read a lot of people’s complaints about season tickets, and I think they make a lot of sense: it’s hard to resell weekday games, you only make money (or your money back) on the marquee matchups, you can find cheaper and better tickets if you just bought resale, not enough perks, etc. And after reading some other fan forums, it seems like that’s true for a lot of smaller-to-middle-market NBA teams across the board.

But my question is: do you see that changing at all next year with the Intuit Dome? Are season tickets going to be more of a solid investment from on?

I’m torn because the season tickets next year are PRICEY. Part of me thinks I should buy some nicer season tickets next year with the expectation that they’ll actually have some decent resale value. The other part of me wants to just buy some tickets in the 300’s for cheap so I can enjoy going to a bunch of games without worrying about losing a bunch of money if I can’t make it to a few of them.

I really do want to see as many games as possible. But I’ve seen people say it would be around 30% cheaper if they had just bought tickets last-minute on SeatGeek compared to buying season tickets. That’s brutal! If I can just make my money back on each game I can’t attend, nicer tickets next year are worth it. If I’m losing money selling each Club ticket I can’t use, I’m going to be annoyed and it won’t make sense for me.

What do you all think? Will things change next year, and should I invest in the Clippers market improving? Or should I take a different approach? Thanks!
