I am watching Sky Sports pre-match show now, and everybody on the table saying this 10-point deduction was harsh, and if you want to punish people, punish the owners and this and that…

I get it, Man City has over 100 allegations, and Chelsea has some too but that doesn’t change the fact Everton is in the wrong as well, personally, I think they will be fine even with the points deductions there are teams worse than them and they are playing well enough to be safe till the end of the season.

And if the end of the day, it’s proven Man City and Chelsea are also in the wrong, punish them, simple as that.

I just don’t get the feeling of “oh poor lads, they don’t deserve this…” Please, we have teams in history that suffered way more than a simple 10-point deduction and the level of outrage wasn’t near the same. We have teams that played in the Premier League out of league football because of poor management.

The actual offenses are relatively minor it’s s dispute over expected losses during Covid so a 10 point deduction does seem harsh

Feel sorry for Everton because my favorite DJ Barney Simon supports them

there is no doubt that it [Everton] failed to discharge the duty of utmost good faith imposed by B15. This is an aggravating factor that increases Everton’s culpability.

This is directly lifted from the commission report on the case from the part where they are discussing the stadium cost and in particular the interest free loans.

This is the fundamental difference between Portsmouth going into administration and Everton’s case for me - Everton lied and Portsmouth didn’t. So you’d expect the club that lied to be punished more severely and therefore getting a bigger points deduction than Portsmouth makes sense.

If you think the team that have been the dominant force of the Premier League in the last 10 years are going to get punished, you are sadly mistaken.

Corporations/Businesses/State Owned Franchises simply do not get found guilty of this kind of stuff.

It’s embarrasing. Everton cheat and break FFP = poor little angels, why is there a witch-hunt. Arteta says refs are embarrasing = encouraging violence towards grass roots refs. It’s just idiots like carragher with their surface level punditry
