“Everyone’s shooting for Washington,” one personnel executive said of the Commanders GM position
The fact that Washington is an attractive job now speaks volumes concerning the culture shift after Snyder. If Snyder was still the owner, good candidates would be hesitant about the possibility of working for a owner like that.
Harris generally seems patient based on his other teams, so that’s another draw to the job.
What does “Everyone’s shooting for Washington” mean? Are people actually willing to come here now? Is this just a super biased take because we are fans and we think things are better now? Does the outside world believe we are now a franchise worthy of committing to?
I really hope Harris and Magic can pull in some talent to our poverty stricken franchise. I believe we will have cap space and picks for a GM to work with. I also wonder if the allure of a new stadium is enticing for prospective GMs. We really need to get the hell out of FedEx… that place is bad juju.
“while others have noted Harris keeping Rivera through a lost season presents himself as a benevolent owner who’s willing to fairly evaluate everything without making rash decisions.”
Anything positive to come from our top brass is gonna be super important when it comes to whoever we are gonna wanna bring in.
