I could use a bit of advise I have one very annoying stuck pixel on the lower right hand corner of my screen. Any advise on how to get it unstuck l. I did contact valve and they said it was out of warranty and that it would cost me 180 dollars to get fixed which is a little crazy.

The deckhd is on sale right now for 80 dollars so I was thinking that might be an option.

I am hesitant on getting the OLED just because just to have that replaced in two years or so. Plus in order to do that I would have to sale my current steamdeck and I have a feeling doing the right thinking and disclosing the stuck pixel would drastically influence the sale price. And I wouldn’t have the needed funds.

    Try this. If it doesn’t work it’ll be better to send in for repair. 180$ seems like a lot but they’ll probably give you a whole new screen and save you the hassle of having to open the deck yourself. DeckHD requires constant bios updates and tweaking for it to work. It isn’t worth the hassle IMO.

    Thanks for the advice I will try that today. I used that site but only for like 10 minutes because my steamdeck kept going into sleep mode so I will set it up and let it run for a few hours today.

    I will probably try to sell it and buy the OLED before I replace the screen if I am honest. I have a 2tb drive in it plus the jsaux backplate even if I get 300 for it I am almost to the price of the OLED if I add what it would cost to replace the screen.

    It’s only really noticable when I play games like elden Ring that have darker backgrounds but it’s like that annoying itch that you just can’t scratch. But doesn’t effect gameplay at all
