So full disclosure: I’m a born & raised Knicks fan but I’m also a huge LaMelo fan too and have been watching the Hornets for the last few year now. I’m super excited now that Miles Bridges is back on the court and can’t wait to see a Melo-Bridges alley oop in-person

Short story long… I’m actually flying to Cabo Mexico for a close friends wedding a few days prior and for the flight back to nyc, I purposely chose a 24+ hour layover in Charlotte. Lucky for me, there’s a game at 7pm on 1/10 (we land at 5:45pm). I was enticed by the Black Friday No Fees deal and snagged Section 105 Row A1 tickets, Seats 19 & 20. They are inner circle tickets and come with parking, buffet, waiter service. With taxes, about 500 each.

Truth be told, normally I would never drop this kinda money on tickets for anything but this is my first vacation in quite and (rather impulsively) figured I’d treat myself to my first near-courtside NBA experience, while showing the gf a ‘once in a lifetime’ night out too. Last year as a perk of my job, I sat legit middle courtside to a Long Island Nets VS Swarm D-League game at Nassau Coliseum and got to watch Gelo light it up. I was cheering his name and he legit looked at me like “who the hell is this random dude screaming my name on Long Island” Lol

Looking at the tickets in my account, I saw that I have the option of selling them for about $200 total profit. I’m debating doing so and picking up a different pair in the following cheaper (yet still pretty good) seats:

Section 106, Row A2 behind the visitors bench

• Inner club, very close
• worried might not have best visibility when players stand
• but also great to see them see them up close and personal
• with proceeds from selling my tickets, would be about $300 all in before taxes

Section 105, Row M or P, Seats 11/12 ($186 each)

• Read on Reddit that sitting 10-15 rows back in section 105 or 114 allows to really watch the plays unfold, but is it too far?
• Access to the Flight Deck and private club lounges
• with proceeds from selling my tickets, would be about $172 all in before taxes

Section 107, Row E or Row F ($118 each)

• most inexpensive of the bunch, interesting view of the game
• with proceeds from selling my tickets, would be about $40 all in before taxes

Section 109, A3 8/9 ($153 each)

• Cool angle and very very close to the action at the rim
• somewhat obstructed view by the hoop

Current Seats: 105 Row A1 19/20 ($495 each): Great location, great view, plenty of legroom in front, inner circle, can see player in the tunnel, comped buffet and beer/wine, maybe see celebs?

The reasonable side of my brain says that I should use the “free money” from selling original seats on cheaper tix and save difference in price for airbnb, car rental, miscellaneous items for mexico trip, etc but the other side of my brain says “Stick the plan… you deserve to splurge work hard to secure bonus and upcoming promotion at work… besides, YOLO!”

Sorry for the essay but I’m just torn/excited. I guess my question is… if you were me in the above scenario, which route would you take?
