Year 1: Mac Jones beats out Cam Newton, almost breaks the Rookie Record for Completion %, makes the Pro Bow as a reserve. Isn’t flashy but does what is needed to win.

Year 2: Belichick hires a former DC/controversial failed HC in Patricia to be Macs new OC, hires another Failed HC to be Macs QB coach in Judge. Creates QB controversy when Mac plays at a lesser level while recovering from his high ankle sprain.

Year 3: Drafts nothing but Defense and IOL, makes lateral moves in FA with JuJu and Gesicki (we see Jonnu and Jakobi doing great elsewhere)

TLDR: The whole Mac Jones tenure seems very Jets-esque, draft a high-pick QB and make shitty organizational decisions to put them in the worst position possible.

I think Mac needs to go and he is no longer the answer, but man was he given a shit shot during his time here. Kind of embarrassed the way we handled his growth.

    > draft a high-pick QB

to be fair Mac Jones was the 5th QB off the board at that point in the draft

I dont think mac is good. I also think Belichick blew this. He could’ve been a serviceable starter with talent around him but bill drafted horribly, signed pretty poorly, and switched his coaching to dumb and dumber in the year Belichick had always says is the most important for a player. Good job bill.

Mac had the potential after his rookie season.

Belichick didn’t get him the necessary support to help Mac excel further.

Bill did a few things to mess with Macs confidence but at the same time Mac didn’t show the mental make up to fight back from it.

    Mac now sucks.

    Honestly I think it’s 50/50.

Yes Mac is a problem and he sucks, but Belichick completely blew this pick too and I also have zero confidence in him anymore finding the right talent in the draft.
