It has been out since 2019 and based on the previous gen release years (1, 2003) (2, 2008) (3, 2013) (4, 2019) there seems to be a refresh every five years except from the 3rd to 4th gen which is a 6 year gap.

It it worth it to get a 4th gen hatch now or will a new version come out in a year? What do you guys think?

Honestly every car on earth is only going to get worse with all the complicated tech garbage and regulations 🤣

I thought about getting a new car five years ago, but reconsidered. Then the pandemic happened. Finally, my beloved Fusion SEL V6 gave up and I was forced to enter the car market…after all my favorite sedans had been discontinued.

I have a Mazda3 now, and I enjoy it. Honestly, I never thought I would end up with such a small car, but it seems the entire class of nicer non-German sedans, Fusion-MKZ-Continental-Regal-Mazda6-GS-Avalon, has vanished from the market.

And more are being cancelled this year. I’m glad there was a Mazda3 left for me to buy.

So my advice is this. If, like me, you enjoy sedans, don’t need or want an SUV and are in a financial position to afford it, buy the sedan you want now. There are only a handful of them left, and who knows how much longer they’ll be around.
