I have played with my steam deck since launch and yesterday my wife had enough of me playing next to her as I have headphones and do not hear my deck.

The fan is indeed pretty loud. Turns out I have a Delta fan. Let’s say I want to quiet my deck, I could replace the fan but I wanna make sure it is worth it. I heard conflicting report on this.

Also, is it the only thing I can do? Got some thermal paste lying around I guess lowering the temps could help control the fan kick in. The new jsaux vented backplate could also help? I dont wanna shell out for a brand new oled deck.
