I am 5400 mmr (divine 4) and the people i play with and have been for months now are only 1k mmr or lower. Obviously we do not play ranked, so we do unranked All Pick. Over the months though i can tell they have gotten frustrated playing in my games for unranked due to people being higher above them, usually archon is average in our games with one ancient or divine player thrown in. They are all guardian and i can tell they now avoid playing with me because they just want fair games which i completely understand, so what do i do? I wont lie i have a smurf account but havent played on it since the ban wave, and I never played ranked on it once, i used it for this exact scenario (to play with low mmw friends for fun in ONLY unranked). So i just dont understand what I am suppose to do, not play with them anymore? Like its just extremely frustrating knowing theyre the only dota people I play with but cannot do so much anymore because of my rank.

I don’t see a direct solution. I think finding more friends in your current bracket is the way.

I have asked the same question. 1k MMR is different they are there because usually they don’t want to learn and they can’t own their own Mistake, then tend to blame others. So my solution is only coaching them.
Turbo is okay sometimes, they have good kill snowball and we win.
The skill difference your friends will face is too big in all pick . Because even if joking or going for meme build , higher MMR Player tend to have many good Habits that differ them from heralds.
this is what premade/custom lobbies are for, honestly.
i remember when i was a kid/teenager - if i was playing video games online, I was playing with my friends.
with all the matchmaking/mmr shit… people avoid each other. it’s kinda lame i think. all for waht? forced 50% winrate?
sucks you can’t play with your friends, sucks more that it’s because they don’t want to play with you (rather, your opponents)
i’d make an account and dedicate it to playing with only them. screw what everyone else says. point of the game is to have fun.
they’re probably just trying to raise their mmr beacuse that’s the only actual sense of progression with this game and it’s antithetical to playing w/ friends.
solo and party mmr used to be separate for this reason but they got rid of it because people cried about it.
Play the smurf acc but handicap yourself - play your worst heroes with the worst builds. Never buy bkb.
I dont see buying an account and basically “troll pick” every game as an issue. If you play carry just pick CM hard support and dont tryhard.
