I really don’t like how I’m watching ppl call for Diontae’s head out of straight up anger ust bc we are upset with him. On the non touchdown play he literally caught it and had 3 steps and then the defender knocked it out. It should’ve been a touchdown and even if they didn’t call it as such it’s still not a drop. It was good play by the defender. On the fumble he didn’t know the ball was actually live and there were several players just standing still (he still needs to play through the whistle ofc before anyone decides to bitch in my comments). On the play where kenny throws it outside to nobody it was a miscommunication and Kenny panicked a bit. Where diontae sat there was still an open window (I’m not sure if it was an option route or a curl/ slant and sit. So I won’t act like I know for sure). But we really have to chill out on the overreacting and the unnecessary witch hunts. We are all guilty of it as steeler fans (me included) but we gotta chill.

I agree that he needs to stop going backwards and that he should’ve played through the whistle. But In the case of the touchdown there are three parts. The refs should’ve made the right call or reviewed it themselves, tomlin should’ve thrown that flag, and the defender made a great textbook play. That’s how you play that when a receiver catches the ball. You drive your hands through there’s or attack the ball all the way through the process. I wish he would’ve had stronger hands ofc but to pretend like he just straight up gave up once he caught it or straight up dropped it is disingenuous and unfair to the db who made the play.
