So the officiating today was inexcusable, nobody will dispute that. I’ve said it already a few times, but it is incredibly concerning that the most profitable sports league on the planet seems to reach new lows on a yearly basis in its refereeing. The PI on our intercept was a lucky non-call, but we clearly drew the short straw today.

However, I think some perspective also can help to frame today as a significant positive.

We were three points away from tying for first in the division, despite having to play both the Jaguars and Zebras today. CJ Stroud continues to look unbelievable and doesn’t let the moment phase him - the coaches’ playcalling has to be safer when the game is on the line though. Also, Amendola couldn’t have kicked it any better on that final attempt. Should they have gone for the 3? No, but we were a yard away from going to OT (and even then it sounds like the refs botched the line of scrimmage).

Point is, despite adversity, this team keeps moving on. Division might be out of reach now, and there are some tough games coming up, but no matter what this team has come so far this season it’s unbelievable.
