I have a few: The Prototype series. I can see how the franchise itself was too edgy for the 2010s, but I’m surprised we didn’t get a dozen copycat games like this: leap city blocks, run up skyscrapers, glide massive distances, you’re basically invincible. It’s the purest form of power fantasy.

Spider-Man 2 (2004): I know there have been other Spider-Man games, but I’m honestly surprised there’s not a whole genre of games about momentum based swinging traversal. Every game has grappling hooks nowadays, this just requires having two. I admit, finding a narrative available for the mechanics may be hard (outside of being bitten by a radioactive spider), but sometimes games need much of an excuse to have a game mechanic in it.
