I’ve actually seen this take quite a few times, but I’m really starting to see it.

As I mellow from this infuriating loss, I’m looking at some past game flows.

The Saints largest “macro” (the big picture not just PCs play calling or Carrs errors) crutch this season is in-game adjustments from DA. He has an impressive game plan week in and week out. Gotta give him that. The Saints are more often than not in a position to take advantage of games early. They’re moving the ball offensively, the defense is getting the stops.

Then bam! A couple things don’t go our way and all of a sudden we’re looking up at a game we should be winning. And he NEVER recovers. His play calling (edit: and decision making) gets worse and muddled. His leadership is totally shelled. It’s a detrimental trait to have as a head coach but so much of his faults hang on this tenet.

I’d say he actually did that quite well last year and even to some extent this year. We just start games terribly
