I’ve just recently bought the Tune 130NC this week and I’m incredibly impressed. It has way sharper tuning (Harman curve out of the box) than any of the budget IEMs I own/see. I rock them with triple flange ear tips which helps to finally keep them stuck inside my ear holes. I’m not going to be annoying calling it ‘endgame,’ but realistically, it’s difficult to see myself trying to upgrade to something else without spending some real big bucks. Now I feel dumb for being so avoidant of wireless products, a comparison between my Arias and Tune 130NCs tells me that they both sound on par technicality-wise, except I don’t feel the need to EQ my 130NCs to something more enjoyable.
There’s a bit of a lower-mids and upper-bass scoop that I found noticeable. You can see it on the rtings.com measurements. It’s easy to correct with eq.
I smell cap but if you say you think it’s that noticeable I’ll believe you. Frankly all headphones so far have sounded the same to me, even the ones with some funky tuning like Grados compared to my Sundaras so I guess it’s me not picking up on something that the manufacturers are putting down right in front of my face.
