Steam Deck is officially unavailable in my region and rather than paying extra to my local importer retailers or changing the region to US on my main account, I was thinking what if I create a new account using VPN and then fill the wallet balance with gift cards. Can I purchase Steam Deck like that? Or will I not be able to purchase it because of the new account? I’m planning this ahead of the time, I think there will be some sales during christmas and I really want to buy one by then.

    I mean… its possible that it will work but there is always the chance that you will get steambanned and lose all the money due to purchasing with a vpn.

      What is a solution then for people outside of US or other supported regions?? I dont want to risk my main account. I have hundreds of games. Spent thousands of dollars and don’t wanna lose it at all. But I want Steam Deck too. What do you suggest I do then?
