What if this line up is much better than the one we have now? They have to try everything. Like last night they closed with Russ and not Harden, that’s what peaked my interest in this.
When the big 4 lineup was starting, Lue should’ve had Harden take on a spot up shooter role. Harden is literally one of the most elite shooters of all time and arguably the best 3pt shooter on this team, but lue decides to make Russ a spot up shooter? Doesn’t make sense.
Lue was literally trying that. He outwardly said that Russ would be the primary ball handler, and it went horribly.
The issue is that you’re now playing through your 4th best starter and giving him higher usage than your 3 star players. It made sense when we didn’t have Harden, because PG/Kawhi aren’t Point Guards. It doesn’t make much sense the second you get a better PG in Harden.
last night they closed with russ and not harden because it was pretty much a blowout and harden had played heavier minutes the night before while russ played like 10 mins tbh
i think they should do it this way until it seems like it’s not working.

I mean, Russ played very few minutes against the Pelicans because he was terrible against them. I think for the most part, if your bench is extending/maintaining a big lead, you’ll ride the hot hand but the leash is very short.
I think if Harden can do what Mann does and start cutting and setting screens, then Westbrook could start with Harden. Westbrook already sets screens and cuts also and is the best defender.
Lakers fans need to focus on their damn team and quit talking about a player they scapegoated
I don’t
They’re not benching the guy making 35 million dollars that’s Lawrence frank admitting he screwed up.
