Personally, I’d say:
PG: LeBron - basically a better Magic SG: Mike - obviously SF: Bird - one of a kind combo of scoring, hustle, team play, and making all the in between plays PF: Timmy - best team player ever while dominant both ways C: Olajuwon - better spacing than Shaq with incredible defense and scoring dominance.
Always build around Shaq
- C- Shaq
Kobe and Shaq worked. let’s get Kobe but better
- SG-MJ
- C-Shaq
the GOAT. elite playmaker and defender. respectable shooter. not a defensive liability like Steph.
- PG-LeBron
- SG-MJ
- C-Shaq
the best scorer of all time. probably also the best basketball player of all time but not the greatest.
- PG-LeBron
- SG-MJ
- SF-KD
- C-Shaq
finally, we need an elite defender who can also space the floor. this guy thrives at the 4 position
- PG-LeBron
- SG-MJ
- SF-KD
- PF-AD
- C-Shaq
Based on fit?
PG: Nash
SG: Drexler
SF: LeBron
PF: Duncan
C: Russell
Wilt
Kareem
Bird
MJ
Stockton
All play defense. All pass at high rates. All score.
Duncan isn’t a fit at 4. You’ve already got MJ and Hakeem that can’t stretch a defense. Way to compressed with Timmy.
- Lebron
- Jordan
- Kawhi
- Durant
- Hakeem
No one is beating that.
Today’s Positionless Basketball
PG: Steph
SG: MJ
SF: Bird
PF: Lebron
C: Hakeem
Pre 2000s Basketball Rules
PG: Magic
SG: MJ
SF: Bird
PF: Lebron
C: Kareem
Steph Jordan Bird Lebron Shaq or Steph Jordan Lebron KD Shaq
Steph and Shaq’s gravity in their respective areas are too important imo and I think they’re the two players that should be built around even though I think MJ and Bron are better overall players. So I think they should be complemented by the top playmaking two-way superstars in history.
Jordan and Lebron are both arguably the top two best cutters in history and are phenomenal playmakers so there’s no issue with them playing off ball. Bird’s also one of the best playmakers ever and can defend and shot to help either Shaq or Steph. KD as an added option over Bird in case the team needs improved spacing/off-ball movement and length
