I’m wanting to get some shoes for my partner of 4 years for Christmas and I’m looking at some Jordan 4s which cost just under $500. Is this too much to be spending on shoes for someone that isn’t me? Just looking for people’s opinions and comments. Thanks.

$500 isn’t too much to spend on a partner. Is it too much to spend on shoes though? Now that’s a different question entirely

Maybe if I was wealthy I would, but I’m not giving me money to resellers anymore

There’s 3 points that you can check to give someone a gift:

    1. If you’re a conscious person, you had to have a budget at this point, because spending money unless you’re a rich person is always a topic that matters.
    2. If money isn’t problem and your partner want those sneakers really that badly you have your answer.
    3. If (he or she) can live without those exact sneakers, you can choose two or more gifts instead only one, for example, I bought for my girl, two pairs of NB (collabs from Kith and ALD) at retail price and a long wallet from Balenciaga I spend like 500dls more or less.

More gifts represent more time spend by you looking for your partner happiness because you are taking care of him/her not only the amount of money. I don’t know if that make sense but that how I bought things for someone else 🙏🏻 Hope you find this helpful.

Hmm as i detest reselling sneakers, i think giving 500 to reselling rats is too much.

Is this a pair that they’ve wanted and talked about getting with you before?

If not, I’m sure there’s alternatives that are cheaper that they’d appreciate equally. Keep in mind that the shoes retail for $200, so the extra $300 is purely what you pay for hype and desire, nothing else.

You can buy used for much cheaper on eBay if your partners okay with that

If you can afford it, then why not? I always see Christmas as getting and giving the things that you usually wouldn’t spend the money on, but now it’s a special occasion.

If you can afford it do it, that’s your woman. If you can’t find her a pair that won’t break the bank.
