I think a lot of people just forgot how good the overall quality of season one was. I’m a fan of the plot first and foremost, but a lot of the fights feel shallower in season 2, and honestly the pacing is not as good. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because it seems like the first 4 episodes is likely build up for episode 7 and 8. I think the pay off will 100% be worth it, but I just hope they listen to the criticism from the fans of the show, and not act defensively when it comes to season 3.

I find the main plot (viltrumites, nolan, mark’s plot) is just as good.
The subplot however is pretty subpar but what can they do? It’s adapted from the comic.
