I wish I lived in a unionized society.
The joy of the existence of sympathy strikes and actions fills my cold, dead heart with a bit of warmth.
All it takes is immigration…
I support unionization but come on this is pretty absurd. There’s no way this would fly here in the US. Imagine, not receiving mail from a federal service because the workers within it disagree with certain practices.
I mean, a union strike is basically a counter-coercion to corporate coercion, so…….
It’s not bad that you disagree with other models of labor/employer relations, but it may be bad that you have lived so long under US concepts that you might not even fathom how things may work elsewhere.
I know… I’m on the opposite side of the union question as you but I see how this would be ‘no bueno’ here in the U.S. is Sweden a socialist democracy?
This would be a ‘no bueno’ in the U.S because they know how powerful unions are at maintaining workers rights, so they outlaw them
Who is the “they”?
lol. Fat man yells at the kids on his lawn.
This will force the Govt to act on this issue. They are suing several entities. The Court will have to issue a ruling and set precedent which is a good strategy. No one can believe that Tesla would just sit and wait out the strike without escalating… The article states:
“Tesla filed a lawsuit against the Swedish Transport Agency on Monday after postal workers began to block deliveries of license plates for the company’s cars. … Tesla claims the Swedish government has a “constitutional obligation to provide registration plates to vehicle owners,” according to the documents. The suit was filed with the Norrköping district court on Monday. It also sued the postal service, according to Bloomberg.”
I don’t have a dog in this fight but it’s interesting to watch Americans try to apply American law to Swedish law. 🤭
What is EU law on this?
