The only thing I’m worried about is our defensive cover. When we get Timber back for next season it’ll feel like a new signing, but right now we’re extremely light. Tomiyasu is literally our preferred cover for LB, RCB, and RB all at the same time. Kiwior can cover LB and LCB, but that’s all we have left. Cedric is not ideal in any scenario, and Lino Sousa is not ready. Even if Timber hadn’t been injured we were going to be a little light, so I hope we’re looking into a potential loan move in January should someone of the right quality be made available.
Well, Andre from Fluminense would be around 25 to 30 mil. Thats not do significant in the grand scale. Hopefully that’s can happen.
Pedro Neto or Ivan Toney is happening.
I hope we still manage to get a CB, unless we are planning on promoting an academy player.
What a £100m wages + fee package for Havertz does to a mf
I wouldn’t rule out a sale in January to be honest, especially if a big offer came in for someone like Smith Rowe, the bench is already congested and with everyone fit we are already leaving about 3 first team players off of it.
Him, eddie and Riese should bring in some fees.
Riese
Butcher
E7H is obviously an intern in our economy department so he knows
Good thing the avengers already assembled then innit
No mention of center midfielder.
Looks like midfield Havertz is here to stay.
Good i like
Shocking 4 months into a £65m signings time at a club
From the article: "From what I hear there isn’t much budget or desire to do significant business in January (important to add that this could hypothetically change depending on potential departures, availability of targets, injuries, form and so on) and naturally that would put Arsenal in a stronger position to invest again next summer.
I don’t think we can question KSE’s willingness to do so since taking full control of the club, it’s more a matter of what the FFP rules enable them to do. The David Raya deal going through as a loan with an option to buy illustrated that Arsenal are sailing close to the wind. My understanding is that, once they are in a more comfortable FFP position and able to spend properly again, the first outlay will likely need to be turning the Raya move into a permanent transfer.
Thereafter I’m sure they will have a plan as to how they wish to proceed. Most probably — as things stand — that will start with a striker. We’ve all seen the names linked. There is also the long-held desire to provide back-up/competition for Bukayo Saka, potentially depth at left centre-back, left-back cover if Tierney leaves, and so on.
I’m sure Arsenal — like most teams — will be scouring the market for top emerging talent and good value-for-money deals, which obviously will be easier to do than the big-money transactions."
left-back cover if Tierney leaves
This made me laugh for some reason.
