I’m more concerned about our Oline than I am the Defense. Glasgow was a stellar pick up in the off-season but Colby got benched and with Jonah, Big V, Ragnow all beat up it’s effecting the run game and pass protection. Defense held Green Bay to 9 points the second half…9 POINTS! With better protection Goff finds a way to win that game and DC has more faith in the offense and doesn’t go for that 4th down on our own 30 in my mind because we’re prolly not in that situation. That game gets hung on the Oline more than it does our defense imo

Personally I thought we were running the ball well. Ben Johnson just lost patience and kept going away from it.

This is what exposed our O-Line, as most backup O-Line are way better run blockers than pass blockers.

Look at the numbers, Monty was averaging 4.7 yards a carry. Gibbs was averaging 4.9 yards a carry. Problem is they combined for only 26 carries and Goff threw 44 times.

You’re probably right. I’m still super frustrated but I know better than to put the game on the defense. They played their asses off considering all the shitting spots they got put in

I 100% agree. The team is built to be mediocre on defense with a high powered offenses with a great offensive line.

I’m gonna go with an evolving Defense that peaks at the right time but yes, the Oline is the engine of this team and if it don’t go the team gets stuck in a rut

Sorsdal was much better on the right than on the left. It should have been Awosika from the get go. It’s a lot easier to fix a below average defense than to improve a top 5 OL, aside from getting Jackson (who’s underrated imo) back. We get almost no QB pressure aside from Hutchinson and McNeil. We’re average at covering WRs at best. We consistently give up big plays to running QBs because we lack athleticism or awareness on the edge. Our backup IOL is struggling against any decent defense whereas our starting defense struggles against even subpar offenses.
