I don’t have much experience in high-end luxury cars but I have owned a spectrum of brands from European, domestic and Japanese manufacturers.
Honestly I have never been impressed by a factory system. The H/K in our older Mercedes was a joke. We all know Bose is a gimmick. I’ve heard the Fender systems are pretty good but I’ve never had the chance to demo them.
The best I think I’ve heard is the Logic 7 in BMW.
What are some of your favorites?
I would love to hear the KEF Soundsystem in the ne Lotus.
But the best Sounding so far was… Shame on me a Sony Soundsystem in a Ford Focus.
B&O in my Audi atm isnt realy great to sharp highs.
Bose in my Opel was good. But the resolution was low
Burmester in a Mercedes was not enough bass heavy for me.
The Fender system in my old Volkswagen Tiguan 2016 was by far the best I’ve heard in a car. Way better than what I’ve heard in much more expensive cars.
Apparently the Fender name was just licensed by Harmon Kardon.
Worth checking out this thread, you can see my comment and the person that responds to me that describes the Fender / Harmon Kardon relationship.
Naim in the Bentley Continental or Bentayga
Bermester in Porsche Panamera
Mark Levinson in the Lexus LS500
Tesla Model 3. It’s sort of an unbranded B&O system. They hired ex B&O engineers. Honestly it’s so good, and I drive so much for work, that it’s actually a large decision factor for me for a future car even as much as my car can annoy me at times.

Model Y takes it to the next level with the open hatch by allowing that subwoofer to breathe. I’m actually pretty impressed with the bass compared to the 3.
I like my Tesla system because it is tuned to not sound too much like hifi…too many premium cars have hyped sound systems
I have only heard the Posche high end stuff. It is excellent, but I am only comparing to Bose or JBL systems in other vehicles.
Tesla model3 is very good, especially for the fact it’s included in most models for no extra charge. It may not have the fancy brand name hookup even though they allegedly used some B&O engineers, but it has the audio chops where it counts.
