Driving into work today, I noticed my AC wasn’t blowing cool air. Then the temp gauge was maxed out. Then the check engine light came on and I started to hear a light rattle inside the car, at which point the temp gauge dropped back down to zero.

I get routine maintenance/check ups, for what it’s worth. About 70k miles on it. Never any major issues.

Pretty sure I need to take it to the garage, but is this a situation where I need to get a tow or can I drive it in? It’ll take me about 30 min with traffic to get it there.
