It isnt. Its much better than ludens. It has applications outside of the 7 second cd that ludens was. It is a constant dps.
not really Ludens would have a lower CD than 7 seconds due to the CD refund,and caster companion does less damage per stack
Ludens did more AoE damage,more single target in most of the cases and only when the target is specifically isolated and you’re at max stacks caster does very slightly more
I think it might scale better though but I’m not sure,but overall it absolutely isn’t a strict upgrade (and anyway that’s comparing it to a mythic)
