From the outside looking in, OG looks like what you want from a modern wing 3 & D player (honestly could be a Mikal Bridges 20 ppg scorer too). Pair that with Scottie Barnes and Siakam that looks like what modern hoops heading towards - switching 1-5 on def and having multiple play makers on Offense. Is it an ego issue?

Idk if we can afford to extend OG, give Scottie his contract, AND pay Pascal. That’s the main issue

The issue with OG is the dude still can barely dribble or penetrate a defense / get to the rim without going up too strong or fumbling the ball. Playmaking skills are still below average. Shot IQ is okay. Those are the things that also come into play when it comes to his contract.

But he’s really good at what he excels at… and that’s fine. For example last night, he locked up their best player while also being able to hit 3s, can switch onto 90% players.

They were willing to listen to offers on OG at a point in time, when it seemed like we had too much positional overlap and teams might be willing overpay for him.

But since then, OG’s kinda proven he’s irreplaceable and the offers for him weren’t worthwhile either.

I want OG to retire as a Raptor.

If we plan on competing for a chip in the next 7 years, he is critical.
