I just read an article that the Steelers have the highest fines of all the teams in the NFL. I never thought of the Steelers as a dirty team but the facts don’t lie. Why is this occurring because I hate that moniker? I love the Steelers always played tough but dirty never crossed my mind.
The Steelers are the most fined team in the NFL so far this season, according to a study by My Betting Sites Canada. With the NFL season still young, there have already been $2,827,605 million in fines dished out this year. But Pittsburgh and a big part of their total, Jaylen Warren, remain atop the list.
Pittsburgh has racked up $333,079 fines, by far the most in the NFL. Warren has earned over $90,000 in fines despite making just over $800,000 for the entire season.
No, that’s not what happens to NFL fines.
The fines collected are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and the NFL Foundation to further support the health, safety and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game.

Interesting…I wonder if some of those fines helped to fund our small high school football team? I know the Steelers bought a bunch of equipment for us and helped the district start the football program.
Our district at one time was split into two schools. Middleburg and West Snyder.
The two schools were too small for a football team, so it was a soccer only school. The Middleburg Midshipmen(Middies) and the West Snyder Mountaineers. They were bitter rivals too.
In 2004, the two high schools merged and became Midd-West high school(to be followed by the rest of the schools) my son was actually in the first Graduating class of Midd-West. Our mascot is the Mustangs
Anyway…it took till 2018 for the establishment of a football team. The residents didn’t like the idea of a football team for the longest time…”soccer was good enough for me, we don’t need a football team!”
Well, once it was finally approved, the Steelers somehow got involved and became our Sponsor…which, as a Steelers fan was pretty cool in my book. They even invited the kids to training camp that year and let them down on the practice fields.
