I own a small mobile detailing business that has grown considerably these past few years with no advertising besides my website, Instagram, and trailer with my logo. My target customers are high-income people who are too busy to drop their car off to get detailed. I offer monthly detailing to a few of these people already but want to expand it.

There are two neighborhoods I have in mind that I have done work in before that I think would have my target clients. $1.5M+ houses with multiple nice cars each. How would I go about trying to get more customers in only these specific neighborhoods? No door-knocking. I don’t necessarily want to sell myself to them but more get my name out to them so they know that this type of service is offered in their neighborhood already. Customers tell me what a good idea it is to have me keep their car cleaned every month and didn’t know a service like that existed before me.

What would be the most effective way to get my name to these people only? I have already asked for referrals from my current customers.

Hi, I’m an SEO and this would be my recommendations.

    1. Local SEO - Focus on your website, content, and optimization of pages.
    2. Google Business Profile and other local map profiles - your local business needs to show up when people in those 2 neighborhoods look for mobile detailing or other keywords.
    3. Direct mail (if you can afford it) send out some promotions to people in the neighborhoods and create a loyalty program
    4. Partnering with others in your indirect space. Gas stations, mechanic spots, dealerships, etc.
    5. Local paper/online paper - reach out to the local paper or online local news site and tell them about your company. Find out about any type of advertisement or feature you can get with them.

I would at least start with these. Everyone likes to go for ads and throw money at everything. That’s not always the case. I focus more on organic first which is why I recommend these.
