My laptop has Intel 11th gen processor i5-1135g7 (Asus Vivobook 15 K513EQ). The technical specifications of my processor, video card and motherboard support HDMI 2.0b, 4K 120Hz and even more.
However, for some reason, Asus decided to put an HDMI version 1.4 port here, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 but without DisplayPort feature, although the laptop hardware supports it. So, Asus artificially limited me to a refresh rate of only 30Hz at 4K.
I don’t understand much about hardware, but is there a way to replace the HDMI port with version 2.0, or add DisplayPort support to the USB-C port if the laptop hardware actually supports it? If so, will it be necessary to do any manipulations with the BIOS in this case?
