Hello everyone!
I recently upgraded my laptop’s RAM to 40GB, aiming to boost Photoshop’s performance. To test the new setup, I opened numerous applications simultaneously and noticed nearly 40GB of RAM being utilized, which was great. However, I observed that Photoshop is consistently capping at 20GB of RAM usage, despite the ample availability.
I’ve already tweaked Photoshop’s preferences, setting the RAM usage limit to 30GB, but it doesn’t seem to surpass the 20GB mark. Additionally, I’ve adjusted the virtual memory settings in Windows to allow for more memory usage. Despite these changes, Photoshop’s RAM usage remains unchanged.
I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing or if there’s a way to encourage Photoshop to utilize more of the available RAM. Any advice or insights from the community would be greatly appreciated!
