In my defense, I had just spent a couple grand to fly from NC to Denver to watch the Jets run all over us.
I flew from NC to Denver in 2016 to watch us score 3 points against the Patriots in 1 degree weather.
Maybe people from NC should just stay home from now on.
I appreciate your honesty. Now we’re committed to the season, let’s ride!!
I’m just so happy we will have no part of whatever circus is involved around Caleb Williams
I’m very glad you came around!
But think about this. Sutton ps2 and Simmons are beloved players and fan favorites. Losing them would suck ass. Those are our playmakers. Trading them would be demoralizing and the idea of asset collection is inherently dangerous. Drafting is NOT an exact science AT ALL. In fact, it’s a dice roll. Every. Single. Year.
How many players in the last 30 years taken in the first round didn’t live up to expectations? The answer is the majority of them. How many players taken in mid to late rounds that weren’t considered prodigies ended up being extremely talented? I’ll name a few. Purdy, Mahomes, Josh allen, hurts and the goat himself Tom Brady.
Now take a team who constantly has high picks and lots of draft capital like the bears. Those assets don’t necessarily translate to wins.
You weren’t alone. We’re all on this ride together.
