Narrative changes to protect Siakam

I’m very disappointed in this sub Reddit

Because anyone who actually watches the games can tell that it’s mostly on the new system vs Pascal not performing.

How can you expect pascal to do anything when you don’t give him the ball and ask him to stand at the perimeter

I’m only overly excited about Scottie cause I remember there were so many fans that were so down on him. Just glad to see him prove people wrong.

I don’t hate Pascal either, I just think the F/O could’ve missed out on their ceiling to sell. I wanna win games, but I think most of us know our ceiling was about the same as last year.

Scottie’s jump has been from a leap in aggressiveness. Pascal’s fall has been from a low 2p% (about 14 percentage points below his career low).

A 3 game sample is not a good way to determine percentages (do you think Cason Wallace is going to shoot 89% from the field this year?). But seeing player behaviour changes could be a more reliable sign.

There’s no guarantee that Scottie will continue to stay aggressive, but it’s a lot more likely than Pascal having a worse 2P% than Fred did last year.

Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I worried? Not really. Siakam imo is too skilled of a player to be in this kind of slump, we should wait how the season progresses and see how he fits into this offense. And obviously I’m still excited about scottie
