I was watching the Eagles-Bills game yesterday and Leonard Floyd looked really good, better than his 4 years here.

In fact his best season in Chicago was his rookie year, and even his best season here would be his worst season if you compare it to his 2 years on Rams and his 2 years on the Bills.

He was a first round pick, so it’s not like he was some late round talent that needed time to grow. Also, our coaching was good when he was here, we had Fangio for his entire tenure here except for his last season.

I don’t know enough about the game to explain why he wasn’t good on the Bears, but he has had some very noteworthy success since he left here and it’s been for 2 different teams.

Unfortunate to say that Paces first 3 first round picks for the Bears from 2015-17 didn’t stick at all with the team

Agree with everyone else but I also think a change of scenery and exposure to other plays helped his development. Theres a reason why we think of certain players like Drew Brees as a Saint but he actually started by the Chargers and played four years there.

I don’t follow him enough to know but I see online he’s listed as a defensive end so he may be playing more to his fit schematically as well.

Could be a couple of factors, he got hosed on a couple of calls / year. His pressures didn’t translate to sacks, he was still kind of green and undersized his first couple of years here. I think he has got a little stronger and a better football IQ. Also playing along side aaron Donald and a stacked bills defense helps too.

I think sometimes a player just becomes more savvy with experience, but it’s also scheme. I dint have a problem with Floyd when he was here. Look at Edmunds! He was great on the Bills but looks mediocre to me as ge gets outplayed by Sanborn on a regular basis.
