To give a little background, I’ve been playing ff since the 80’s. This year was the first year I can remember that I had miss the draft (most fun day of the year, ugh). Our league is a redraft, 10 team league with 8 starters, 8 bench and 1 IR.
The thing I noticed and my question revolves around it is, this year since ESPN autodrafted I was not at all committed to my drafted picks so I was happy to jettison them without feeling like I had to somehow “defend” my pick because I didn’t make the pick.
I (i.e. ESPN) “drafted” 6 of the 16 I have left. I hear frequently that people will be attached to their draft picks and not trade or keep starting or refuse to let go of underperforming players.
My question is, does anyone deliberately auto draft to release yourself from trying to “defend” your picks?
I’m 8-4, don’t have great points. I’ve been crazily making pick ups and getting lucky but I’m having fun.
im in an auto draft no trades league and yes it is a lot easier to fire underperforming players into the sun and i do it frequently
This year I got distracted by a call in the middle of the draft and I auto-drafted Pittman and Addison in the mid rounds. I am very happy with those choices and probably would have made neither
