9,000+ no-shows. Are you kidding? This team goes on a four-game (now five) winning streak, makes football fun in Denver for the first time in 7+ years, and we have almost 10,000 empty seats at the stadium. Not to mention, a pretty big contingent of Browns fans.

Look, I’m sunshine and rainbows about all of the on-field things right now and I don’t want to kill the vibe. Broncos football is back and it’s awesome. But this was a huge “wtf” for me. I remember the Elway-era Broncos (pre-SB), it was still very rare for Old Mile High to have any empty seats on game day - even for, say, the 8-8 1995 Broncos. 10K MIA is just hard to compute.

And idk that ticket prices were really the culprit, because secondary market tickets were available for $50 or less yesterday. It’s still expensive, but man. I thought we were going to have a raucous building and instead it was a lot of empties.

As a currently drunk person, I agree this is unacceptable. I now live in the Pacific Northwest, and the Mile High fan attendance is one of my hills I die on that proves the Broncos are one of the best fan bases. This is not going to be good for me.

ANYWHO, the Broncos are finally good and to be Thankful, I want to slow smooch Sean Payton’s buttonhole lips! LFG boys!

9k no-shows is a lot, but the usual is somewhere between 3k and 5k no-shows. Probably because of thanksgiving weekend, if I had to guess.

This is wild for European fans. There were still 440,000 people in the virtual line for tickets when the Munich game sold out.

Yesterday was my first Broncos game since 2016.

The amount of empty seats was the first thing i noticed.

The second thing was the sheer amount of people sitting on their asses when the defense was on the field. I stood up a few times on 3rd and 4th down and i felt like people were pissed off next to and behind me.

So weird coming from games where the entire crowd was on their feet from the 1st to the last play of every defensive drive.

Culture sure has changed, but so has the team. So im not sure what to think.

I still cheered my ass off though!
